Manufacturing Steps (Lab-scale or Pilot-scale production)
Phase A: Base Solution Preparation (45–50°C)
Heat purified water to 45–50°C with gentle stirring.
Add sequentially under continuous stirring:
Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Apple Cider Vinegar
BHT (pre-dissolved in ethanol or propylene glycol if needed)
Mix until a clear solution is obtained.
Phase B: Surfactant Premix
In a separate vessel, dissolve:
Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Mix gently (to avoid foaming), then add to Phase A at 40–45°C under low-speed stirring.
Phase C: Active & Botanical Additions (Below 40°C)
Cool the batch to below 40°C.
Add the following components one at a time with gentle stirring:
VagiFirm™ Blend, DermaPerm™ Pro, Aloe Vera Extract
Sodium Hyaluronate (both MWs), Centella Asiatica Extract
Squalane (Pre-emulsify if needed for better dispersion)
Continue stirring or use a low-shear emulsifier for 3–5 minutes to achieve a uniform mixture.
Phase D: pH Adjustment & Quality Control
Use Citric Acid/Sodium Citrate buffer to adjust the pH to 3.8–4.2, matching the natural vaginal pH.
Perform standard QC checks:
Clarity, pH (at 25°C), Viscosity, Foaming properties
Optional: If additional viscosity is required, add 0.2–0.3% Xanthan Gum or HEC. For a gel-like texture, small amounts of natural gelling agents may be used.
Packaging & Storage Guidelines
Use opaque or UV-protective packaging to preserve botanical activity.
Storage conditions: Room temperature, avoid direct sunlight.
Shelf life: Unopened – 12–18 months; After opening – use within 3–6 months.
