Manufacturing Steps

Step 1: Water Phase Preparation (Phase A)

In a sanitized stainless-steel mixing vessel, add deionized water and stir at low speed (300–500 rpm).

Dissolve disodium EDTA, then add glycerin and pentylene glycol, stirring until clear.

Gradually sprinkle in xanthan gum while high-shear mixing (≈1,000 rpm) for 3–5 minutes until fully dispersed and free of lumps.

Heat the water phase to 70–75 °C and maintain temperature..

Step 2: Oil Phase Preparation (Phase B)

In a second vessel, combine PhytoPearl™ G35+, AnhydoE™ NanoCore, Silkynol™, and PhytoSilk™ VMM.

Heat to 70–75 °C, stirring until a homogeneous transparent oil phase is obtained.

Step 3: Emulsification

When both phases are at 70–75 °C, slowly pour the oil phase into the water phase under high-shear mixing (≈8,000 rpm) for 3–5 minutes to form a pre-emulsion.

Switch to medium-speed stirring (≈500 rpm) and continue mixing for 10 minutes, allowing the batch to cool gradually to ≈40 °C.

Step 5: pH Adjustment & Finishing

Adjust the pH to 5.5–6.0 using citric acid solution, stirring for another 10 minutes.

Defoam, then transfer to filling under vacuum or in a clean-room environment to minimize microbial contamination.

Key Process Notes

Temperature Control: Ensure PhytoPearl™ G35+ melts completely at 70–75 °C to form stable oil droplets.

Thermolabile Actives: Add liposomal and BioInfusion complexes below 40 °C to preserve activity

Emulsification: High-shear mixing ensures fine droplet size; medium-speed stirring aids stabilization.

Step 4: Active Ingredient Addition (Phase C)

When temperature falls below 40 °C, add in sequence with gentle stirring (200–300 rpm):
